After waiting almost a year, it is finally time to order the latest in the Sookie Stackhouse series: Dead Reckoning. For those of you counting, this is book number 11. Dead Reckoning will be available on May 3, 2011. You can pre-order it from Amazon for $14.70 with free Super Saver shipping. It will be hard cover, and you can also get an audio book version. The Kindle edition will be $14.99.
Here’s a description from Amazon: “With her knack for being in trouble’s way, Sookie witnesses the firebombing of Merlotte’s, the bar where she works. Since Sam Merlotte is now known to be two-natured, suspicion falls immediately on the anti-shifters in the area. Sookie suspects otherwise, but her attention is divided when she realizes that her lover Eric Northman and his “child” Pam are plotting to kill the vampire who is now their master. Gradually, Sookie is drawn into the plot-which is much more complicated than she knows…”

If you are a True Blood fan but can’t wait until the next season starts to get more of the characters, you should check out the brand new True Blood Volume 1: All Together Now by IDW Publishing. The hardcover graphic novel is 160 pages of text and realistic illustrations. The story is co-plotted by True Blood series creator Alan Ball.
Here’s part of the product description from Amazon: “Blood and sex mix on a hot rainy night at Merlotte’s, when Sookie and her friends are trapped by a vengeful spirit who feeds on shame. People die and dirty secrets are revealed as Sookie, Bill, Eric, Sam, Tara, Jason, and Lafayette and are all coerced to dig deep and tell painful memories from their past – those things we all have locked within us that we never tell another living soul! Bon Temps, Louisiana has never been stranger, or more twisted…”
Pick it up at bookstores or order it from Amazon with free Super Saver or Prime shipping.
